Surf Shack

Located at Pacific Sands Beach Resort

The Surf Shack is located on the property of Pacific Sands Beach Resort on beautiful Cox Bay, just steps from your suite. No need to drive; simply walk over for your lesson or to pick up rental gear. If conditions aren’t ideal at Cox Bay for your lesson, we’ll teach you at another nearby beach to ensure the best possible experience.

Please note that we require a reservation number from Pacific Sands Beach Resort at time of booking.

Private Surf Lessons

Surf right outside your Beachfront Accommodations at Cox Bay!

Whether you’re a total newbie or advanced and want to refine technique, a private lesson is a great way for you to get exactly what you need.

Duration: 2.5 Hours
Includes beach theory covering equipment, safety, proper surfing techniques and time in the water to practice your skills.

One on One: $249
Two Person: $328
Three Person: $407
Four Person: $486
Five Person: $565

All online bookings are subject to a FarHarbor booking fee
Taxes and a $2 land Use fee (per person) apply at checkout.

* If you are looking for an advanced lesson, please call the shop first to discuss it so we can make sure we have the right instructor available on the day you would like to book.

Rentals

We are equipped with all the gear you need to get you in the water!

Book for the date and time of pick up and if you would like to extend your rental we can do so at arrival. 

Multi day (3+ days) rentals will receive a 10% discount. Please let us know in the comment section of your online booking if you plan to extend your rental.

Waiver

Complete your waiver via the link in your lesson & rental confirmation email. If you plan on dropping in for rentals, please fill out the online waiver here in advance to save time upon pickup.

Bookings

We cannot charge lessons or rentals to your room. Please bring a credit card for collateral on all rental bookings.

Lesson Location

We cannot guarantee the lesson will always be right in front of the resort. If the conditions don't align at Cox Bay, have your transportation ready!
