Surfing At Pacific Sands
The Surf Sister Surf Shack is right on-site, just a stone's throw away from your hotel room. No need to drive into town - simply stroll over for your pre-booked lesson or to grab some rental gear.
These lessons and rentals are exclusively for Pacific Sands guests.
For a smooth ride during the busy summer months, we highly recommend pre-booking your surf lessons.
We cannot guarantee the lesson will always be right in front of the resort. If the conditions don't align at Cox Bay, have your transportation ready!
Rentals
Rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis for guests of Pacific Sands. Swing by the Shack to organize and pay for your rentals! Bring a credit-card with you, as we cannot charge rentals to your room.
Want to save time? You can fill out your rental waiver online beforehand. Please keep in mind this waiver form is not a reservation and all of our rentals work on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lessons
All lessons run out of the Surf Shack located at Pacific Sands, and are for Pacific Sands Guests only. If conditions allow it we will surf at Cox Bay, right out front of the resort!
For ages 6+ with basic swim skills.
Please note you may be required to drive to a different beach for your lesson depending on the conditions!
Lesson price includes gear for the time of your lesson. 24 hour rentals are a separate charge.
Private Lessons
One on One
Whether you’re a total newbie or advanced and want to refine technique, a private lesson is a great way for you to get exactly what you need.

Private Family Lessons
Learn to surf with a few friends or your family and take home memories of salt and smiles, waves and wipeouts!
2 People: $288+tax
3 People: $377+tax
4 People: $466+tax
5 People: $555+tax
There is a $2 Tribal Parks Land use fee added to each person per lesson. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Credit Card is required to book.
There is a $10 cancellation fee (per person) on any cancelled bookings. Any private lesson bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the lesson will be charged the full amount.
Rentals
The Surf Shack is equipped with wetsuits for all sizes! We also carry boogie boards and soft top surfboards, which are great for anyone.
Please note that our rental fleet is for Pacific Sands Guests only, and works on a first come first serve basis. Drop by the Shack to organize and pay for your rentals! If conditions are unsafe at Cox bay, we will direct you to the most suitable beach for your level. Roof racks will be provided to transport your gear.
You can fill out your rental waiver online beforehand. This will save you lots of time! We unfortunately cannot charge rentals to your room.
Day Rate
Take out some gear and have your fun out there! All rental rates are for 24 hours. From whenever you rent to that same time the following day.
