Queen of the Peak – Womens Surf Contest
The Queen of the Peak is an annual all Womens Surf Contest created by Surf Sister and Shelter Restaurant. Thanks to the generous support of the Wickaninnish Inn and other local businesses the contest has grown into a two day event held every October.
We created the contest to showcase and celebrate the amazing female talent we have on the west coast. The contest is designed to be ‘female-friendly’ with free child care and dog sitting services for competitors and even has a massage tent staffed with Wickaninnish Inn Ancient Cedars Spa staff.
Included in entry fee for contestants is a wine and cheese Welcome Reception at Surf Sister and Awards Gala multi-course dinner at Shelter Restaurant. All proceeds from the event are donated to local charities.
